THE ORIGINAL COLLECTION

On June 27, 2021, I decided to share my first collection with the world. And by world, I mean my meager (in quantity, y’all are quality and I like it this way) following on my personal Instagram page. The collection was the result of me NEEDING to tap back into my creativity. I was wanting to learn a new craft and get back to making art with my hands, and jewelry making was something I hadn’t done before. I grew up getting into all sorts of crafts; drawing, painting, sewing, cross-stitching, latch hooking, ceramics. I took art classes all through high school where I touched just about every medium, and even continued ceramics into college. Then you know how the story goes.. you enter the “real” world and pieces of you begin to slip away.

This collection was a 9-month creative project that began with me not having a clue what I was doing. I ordered so much material and had no idea what to do with it when I arrived. A friend randomly sent me a link to a Udemy sale and to my surprise, there was a jewelry making course that taught me everything I needed to know to take the next step. I ordered even more supplies, practiced until it became muscle memory, then continued to order more material until I found the quality and sizes I was looking for.

The Original collection was inspired by my nearest and dearest. I made pieces that complimented their various styles, and pieces that I wanted to see in my personal collection. The collection I’ve posted here is an extended version of what I first shared with the world the summer of 2021, I like to think of it as the deluxe version of an album. It includes a few replicas of the personalized gifts I have given over the last year and a half, as well as some new designs. I hope they make you feel beautiful.
